Abstract: In search for new antiviral agents among “twice modified” analogues of nucleosides, the acyclonucleosides of 1(3)-H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridine with hydroxyalkyl substituents, imitating C1—O—C4—C5 or C1—O—C4—C3—C2 parts of the ribose moiety have been synthesized.
